Sorrento is a town overlooking the Vesuvius and Bay of Naples in Southern Italy.

Sorrento is famous for their local lemons and the limoncello, a digestif (an alcoholic drink that serves at the end of the meal to aid digestion).
Traditionally, limoncello is made from the zest of Femminello St. Teresa lemons, also known as Sorrento or Sfusato lemons (a variety of lemon grown in Italy on the Amalfi Coast).

Vico Equense is part of the greater Bay of Naples metropolitan area and is a tourist destination for those who are looking more quiet and local lifestyle and less touristic.
The town is bordered by Castellammare di Stabia, Meta, Piano di Sorrento, Pimonte and Positano.

Travel Essentials to summer holiday in Italy

  • when you’re going to the beach, don’t forget your SPF protection, choose one that is safe to the oceans.
  • aloe vera gel will help your skin if you get burned or bitten by mosquitoes.
  • bring with you citronella and lavender essential oils.
Citronella will help to prevent mosquito bites (use in an oil burner) and Lavender will help to sleep better and calm bites if you got bitten.
