Maca Superfood Smoothie

Maca, also known as Peruvian ginseng, is a plant that originates from Peru. Its scientific name is Lepidium meyenii. Maca has an earthy and nutty flavor with a hint of butterscotch aroma. Its unique taste pairs well with sweet fruits, which is why I love to combine it with apple and banana to enhance the sweet richness of the smoothie.

I see food as medicine. Food doesn’t just exist to make us feel full and happy, but it also fuels our bodies. When you know the ingredients in your food, you can choose the ones that are best for you.
