Yoghurt for BREAKFAST with Strawberries, Mint & Roasted Almonds

Yoghurt for breakfast is an excellent choice when you want to have a light breakfast, especially on hotter days.

I love yoghurt because it is a good source for protein, calcium, probiotics and it is tasty and creamy! Don’t forget to add fresh fruits!

Greek yoghurt is an excellent source of calcium (for 100g of yoghurt, there is approximately 150 mg of calcium) which is required to bone health. 1

Strawberries & mint go great together!

Strawberries are a source of fibre, vitamin C, and antioxidants!

Adding mint is a great way to add flavour and make your breakfast to be extra special.

Almonds

Almonds packed with antioxidants and vitamin E, they are an excellent source of protein, potassium, iron and zinc.

Yogurt with Strawberries, Mint and Roasted Almonds

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup yogurt (my favourites greek/coconut)
  • Four strawberries or any other fruit you like
  • A handful of mint leaves 
  • A handful of roasted almonds* crushed or whole

Instructions

Assemble nicely in layers, start with almonds then strawberries and mint, then yogurt and top with another layer of strawberries, almonds, and mint.  

Recipe Notes

*You can lightly roast raw almonds by warming them on a pan for a few minutes.
